We are currently supporting one of the UK’s highly accredited fuel suppliers, with their search for a field based Business Development Manager.
This is a brand new position being brought in to cover the South of the UK, overseeing the Berkshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire areas, with the main base located in Membury. This is a really exciting 360 sales position being brought in with the aim to nurture existing customers and develop new business with the end goal of increasing sales.
This will be a very field based role, so we are looking for a hungry salesperson with experience in the fuel/oil/lubricant industry, who’s keen to be out and about building client relationships and looking for new business opportunities!
Key responsibilities will include:
· Building a portfolio of prospective customers within the fleet, industrial and agricultural industries – using initiative to identify and qualify leads.
· Managing assisting accounts, providing excellent customer service and upselling where suitable.
· Making initial outreach to potential customers using a variety of communication methods to build relationships.
· Obtaining regular and repeat business.
· Tailoring sales presentations for individual customer.
· Being out on the field, running own schedule visiting both new and existing customers.
· Achieving sales targets.
Skills and experience required:
· 3+ years of experience in a business development position.
· Previous experience within the fuel, oil or lubricant industry.
· A real passion for developing sales and achieving targets.
· Excellent ability to build and nurture relationships.
· A positive, persistent and resilient attitude throughout sale cycles.
· Ability to use initiative and identify new opportunities.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to be out on the road and manage own workload efficiently.
