White Horse Employment are proud to be working with a highly reputable and prestigious establishment based in Street to aid their search for a Financial Controller. This is a great role in which you will be fully responsible for the transactional team and be solely responsible for the VAT.
You will be working closely with the Head of Finance and Director of Finance ensuring the finance team is working as efficiently as possible and driving the financial performance of the group.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Finance with group financial management and deputise in their absence.
- Lead and manage the Accounts, Fees, and Payroll teams, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Act as VAT lead, overseeing VAT registration, compliance, financial system setup, transaction accuracy, and legislative updates.
- Serve as Finance Business Partner for all schools and business units, providing financial oversight and strategic support.
- Manage financial accounting, reporting, budget control, and accounts payable/receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee treasury management, cash flow forecasting, investment strategy, and pension administration.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, liaise with auditors, and prepare statutory accounts and financial reports.
- Support acquisitions, process improvements, and system implementations, ensuring smooth financial integration and automation.
