To continue with their growth plans, they're now looking for an experienced Payroll Manager who can come in and audit their current payroll systems/strategies, allowing you to make a real change within a business and giving you more of a strategic focus.

Duties

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • To fully audit the payroll processes.
  • Performing regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Dealing with third parties, ensuring that the company is getting the best outcome from these providers.
  • Oversee the entry and maintenance of employee data in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay or benefits.
  • Prepare reports for management analysis, providing insights into payroll trends and workforce costs.
  • Dealing with senior leadership, showing where changes need to be made
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, providing clear explanations of policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in payroll management
  • An Expert in all things HRMC and Pensions
  • Experience working in larger SMEs (£40m+ Turnover)
  • Proficiency in dealing with third-party providers
  • Strong understanding of HRIS systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
